Show your support with every purchase!
We've arranged for an easy way to show your support for SMP every time you make a purchase with your credit card. SMP has partnered with CapitalOne to offer you the Sports Made Possible Capital One credit card. We think of it as "rewards for our cause". SMP will earn much needed revenue each and every time you use your card, even for everyday purchases (especially gas and groceries). Proceeds will be used to fund the program and keep our kids playing baseball. Give more without spending more! Won't you show your support? It's easy, it's effortless and provides meaningful help to our excellent cause.

ADAPTIVE BASEBALL

There is something about playing the game of baseball that lights up the eyes of a child, however for children facing physical and/or mental challenges, that opportunity is often not available. Adaptive Baseball gives these children the opportunity to get out and enjoy playing the game of baseball in its purest form.
During each game, every child is given an opportunity to hit the ball and score a run. Team members are assigned “buddies” who assist them in hitting the ball and "running" the bases. Buddies can be fellow schoolmates, parents, college students, business leaders or anyone who wishes to volunteer their time to give a child the gift of baseball.
The point of the game is less about baseball and more about fun! The benefits gained by everyone involved are tremendous. The child's self esteem grows, they make friends, become less isolated and "just become a regular kid, not a kid with a disability."

Sports Made Possible Mourns the Loss of a Friend November 8, 2009- John Covey, a great SMP coach, father and friend passed away on November 7th. John, 41, was a father of a SMP participant, husband to SMP Board director Theresa Covey, and a much loved coach of SMP teams. We will miss him, but his spirit lives on here at Sports Made Possible.

Looking for the Amazon link? Unfortunately, Amazon has ended its program with Colorado-based affiliates on short notice and we are as disappointed as you are. Amazon says this is because they won't "voluntarily" collect sales tax for online purchases as required by a new Colorado law.

Looking for the Amazon.com link? Unfortunately, Amazon has terminated its relationship with all Colorado-based affiliates on short notice. They did so because Colorado just passed a law to collect sales tax for online sales. We are very disappointed in this turn of events and apologize for any inconvenience.
